Low Pressure Carbon Dioxide Systems
| Carbon
Dioxide is an effective fire-extinguishing agent that can be used on
many types of fires, such as surface fires, flammable liquids, and most
solid combustible materials. For fire suppression, the discharge
is designed to raise the carbon dioxide concentration in the
hazard. This displaces the air containing oxygen, with supports
combustion and results in fire extinguishments.
CO2 is non-damaging to sensitive electronic equipment when it is designed, engineered, and installed properly. CO2 can also be used on high-voltage electrical equipment without danger or damage to the equipment. |

| Getz
Fire Equipment Company can provide you with a number of different
types of Carbon Dioxide Fire Suppression Systems. The Low Pressure
Bulk Tank systems are available in size ranges from 3/4 ton to 60 ton
capacities. The Low Pressure system consists of liquid CO2 stored
in an ASME coded pressure vessel and is equipped with its own
refrigeration system.
The Ansul Preferred CO2 Mini-Bulk system is a breakthrough in Carbon Dioxide fire protection. The Mini-Bulk tanks have bridged the gap between High Pressure cylinders and Low Pressure bulk storage tanks. Our engineering department can design a system for your application and incorporate the proper detection and control to perform early warning for the protection of employees. Our engineering department can also provide you with drawings and flow calculations to insure proper operation of your CO2 system. |
