Foam Systems

Getz Fire Equipment can design a foam system that will effectively suppress a fire in many different applications. A foam system works by separating the fuel from the air (oxygen). This process can be done in several different ways:

Foam blankets the fuel surface smothering the fire.
The fuel is cooled by the water content of the foam.
The foam blanket suppresses the release of flammable vapors that can mix with the air.

Typical applications include flammable liquid storage, refineries, aircraft hangers and heliports, warehouses, and processing areas.
